Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, Day shifts. Common options: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM (3x12s), 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (4x10s), 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM. Occasional call coverage required (4-7 days/month) with a 60-minute response expectation (preferred within 30 minutes).

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert pre- and post-procedural nursing care for Cath Lab patients, ensuring safe recoveries after left/right heart caths and complex procedures
- Monitor telemetry and central monitoring closely to detect changes and intervene quickly
- Perform ultrasound-guided IV starts and maintain IV access for procedural and recovery needs
- Collaborate with cardiology, respiratory therapy, pharmacy and the Cath Lab team to coordinate seamless patient care
- Document care accurately and efficiently in EPIC and manage medication dispensing via PYXIS
- Respond to call coverage needs within required response times and support weekend/day/night call schedules as assigned
- Serve as a clinical resource on the floor and support patient flow in a busy, multimodality lab
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Washington or Compact nursing license accepted
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Cardiac Cath Lab, EP, or interventional areas
- BLS and ACLS (AHA) required
- NIHSS certification required
- ARRT certification listed as a primary credential for the role
- Comfortable with telemetry, central monitoring, and ultrasound-guided IV starts
- Willingness to participate in call rotation (4-7 days/month) and meet response-time expectations
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with EPIC charting and PYXIS medication systems
- Strong telemetry interpretation and monitoring skills
- Experience with peri-procedural patient care in Cath Lab, EP, PCI and interventional radiology
- Ability to prioritize in a busy multimodality lab and adapt to hybrid/combined cases
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for coordinating with cardiology, RT and pharmacy
- Charge nurse or leadership experience is a plus for shift coordination
