Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12.5-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (day); nights scheduled as needed. Every other weekend required (day shift Saturday/Sunday, night shift Friday/Saturday).
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate ICU care for critically ill adults, managing complex ventilators and hemodynamic support
- Safely perform and manage critical procedures like central line, arterial line, and post-neurological intervention care
- Monitor advanced devices such as EV1000, rapid infusers, and Ceribell, and respond rapidly to patient changes
- Collaborate proactively with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute patient-centered care plans
- Serve as a trusted resource during shift handoffs, maintaining meticulous documentation in Meditech
- Support unit flow and patient safety while maintaining therapeutic patient ratios (typically 1:2)
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential and license to practice
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience with greater than 1 year of ICU experience (must-have)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
- Experience with ventilator management, arterial lines, central lines, and hemodialysis care
- Comfortable working with Meditech electronic medical record
- Preferred: experience in neurological, trauma, or cardiac ICU; prior preceptor or charge nurse experience
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care assessment and rapid clinical decision-making
- Ventilator management and advanced airway support
- Hemodynamic monitoring and arterial line management
- Central line care and wound care for post-intervention patients
- Familiarity with EV1000, Ceribell, rapid infusers, and EVDs
- Strong teamwork, communication, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced unit
- Ability to document accurately and efficiently in Meditech
