Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert peri-procedural nursing care for Endoscopy/GI procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, MRCP and biopsies
- Act as charge nurse when assigned—lead the team, triage tasks, and maintain patient flow
- Document thoroughly and accurately in Cerner-Surginet to ensure continuity of care
- Respond promptly to emergency cases and participate in on-call weekend coverage
- Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, RT, pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Float to PACU/ACU as needed and support those units with competent, compassionate care
- Maintain unit standards including special scrub protocol and adherence to crisis protocol
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
- Minimum 2 years of GI/endoscopy nursing experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications; NIH Stroke (NIHSS) certification required
- Experience with Cerner-Surginet or similar EMR systems
- Charge nurse experience preferred or demonstrated leadership ability
- COVID-19 vaccination required per facility policy
- Willingness and ability to participate in weekend on-call rotation and holiday coverage
Education
- Active RN license required
- BSN not required (ADN or BSN accepted)
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical expertise in Endoscopy/GI procedures (EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, MRCP, biopsies)
- Strong procedural and scrub skills for endoscopy settings
- Proficient charting/documentation practices in Cerner
- Ability to triage, prioritize, and lead during busy procedural days
- Comfort working in acute care settings with 24/7 RT and pharmacy support
- Adaptability to float between units (PACU/ACU) and manage varied shift patterns
