Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality progressive/step-down nursing care for a highly acute patient population
- Manage ventilator-dependent and trach patients, including suction and tracheostomy care
- Assess and care for chest tubes and respond promptly to changes in patient status
- Administer IV therapy and manage IV/feeding pumps and wound vac systems
- Use Meditech EMR for accurate charting, handoffs, and clinical documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Provide trauma-informed nursing care in a Level 1 trauma center environment
- Educate patients and families and advocate for patient safety and best outcomes
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible to practice in Colorado)
- Minimum 2 years of acute or critical care / PCU experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Strong skills in ventilator management, trach care, suction, and chest tube management
- Comfortable with Meditech or similar EMR systems
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced, team-oriented trauma setting
Knowledge & Skills
- Ventilator management and weaning protocols
- Tracheostomy care and suctioning techniques
- Chest tube monitoring and troubleshooting
- IV therapy, IV pump and feeding pump operation
- Wound vac management and specialty bed knowledge
- Meditech EMR proficiency for documentation and orders
- Trauma patient assessment and critical thinking under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork in interdisciplinary care
