Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 06:30 AM - 06:30 PM and 06:30 PM - 06:30 AM, rotating schedule with every-other-weekend coverage and required holiday coverage (minimum 2 holidays during the contract)

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients, managing complex and acute conditions
- Titrate drips and IV infusions safely and according to protocol for cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips
- Interpret telemetry strips and document findings in EPIC with accuracy and timeliness
- Troubleshoot basic respiratory equipment and collaborate with respiratory therapy for ventilated patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and execute patient-centered care plans
- Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining appropriate patient ratios and standards of care
- Participate in unit orientation and competency checks and complete required open-book skills exams
- Advocate for patients and maintain hospital policies, including infection control and fingernail/artificial nail policy
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing (appropriate for practice in Nebraska)
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
- Comfort and experience with EPIC charting and GE telemetry systems
- Valid driver's license at time of submittal (used to verify radius eligibility)
- Ability to pass unit orientation assessments (90% pass threshold on required exam)
- Must not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with a CommonSpirit-affiliated facility (including CHI or Dignity)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong ICU nursing fundamentals including hemodynamic monitoring and critical assessment
- Telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
- Drip titration and vasoactive medication management
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record documentation
- Familiarity with ventilator basics and respiratory troubleshooting
- Sepsis, stroke, renal failure, and cardiac post-procedure patient care
- Ability to work efficiently in a 1:2-3 adult nurse:patient ratio environment
- Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced acute care settings
