Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality inpatient rehabilitation nursing care to a varied caseload
• Administer and monitor medications and treatments, ensuring patient safety
• Operate and manage specialty equipment including IV pumps, feeding pumps and specialty beds
• Use Meditech for accurate, timely documentation and care coordination
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and execute individualized care plans
• Support patient mobility and transfers using lifts and safe transfer techniques
• Promote a positive patient experience through compassionate communication and advocacy
• Maintain required certifications and participate in unit policies and quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience (per job posting)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Experience with inpatient rehabilitation nursing or med-surg preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Comfortable with dialysis awareness, IV/feeding pumps, lifts and specialty beds
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and provide weekend coverage

Knowledge & Skills

• Rehabilitation nursing and inpatient care practices
• Meditech electronic documentation
• Skill with IV pumps, feeding pumps and specialty beds
• Safe patient handling and use of lifts/transfer equipment
• Basic dialysis room awareness and coordination with dialysis nurses
• Strong communication and teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting
• Time management and ability to work with patient ratios typical for rehab (5-6)
