Shift Type: Rotating shifts, every other weekend required; specific start/end times determined by unit schedule (day and night coverage as needed)
Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care to laboring patients from admission through delivery
- Perform fetal heart monitoring and interpret tracings to support safe birthing decisions
- Collaborate closely with obstetricians, midwives, neonatology and the care team to coordinate care
- Prepare and assist during deliveries, including emergency interventions when necessary
- Deliver neonatal resuscitation following NRP guidelines when required
- Document assessments, interventions and patient education clearly and accurately
- Participate in unit-specific competency testing and skills checklists to maintain excellence
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-appropriate licensure required)
- Current BLS certification required
- PALS, ACLS and NRP certifications required
- AWHONN / Fetal Heart Monitoring training or equivalent experience required
- Demonstrated experience in Labor and Delivery preferred
- Ability to complete facility onboarding requirements such as fit test, immunizations, drug screen and health screening
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of Labor and Delivery workflows and maternal/newborn physiology
- Proficiency in fetal heart monitoring and electronic fetal monitoring interpretation
- Skilled in neonatal resuscitation and newborn stabilization
- Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients and interdisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with competency testing and skills checklists
