Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality peri-procedural nursing care in the cardiac catheterization lab, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Monitor hemodynamics and perform rhythm interpretation to identify and respond to changes quickly
• Execute ACLS and BLS interventions when indicated and collaborate with the team during emergencies
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with interventional cardiology procedures and device management
• Fulfill on-call duties promptly and professionally for assigned days, including required weekend coverage
• Complete required Prime competency exams, skills checklists, and specialty assessments to maintain clinical competency
• Ensure accurate documentation, license/certification verification, and compliance with facility policies and screening requirements

Qualifications

• Active RN license (California) required; ability to complete License/Certificate Verification
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• DCI/BVP and NIHSS certifications required
• Comfortable with 10-hour day shifts and fulfilling on-call responsibilities (10 days/month, including 4 weekend on-call days)
• Successful completion of required pre-employment screenings (drug screen, TB/PPD, Fit Test, immunizations, etc.)
• Experience in Cath Lab nursing, including rhythm interpretation and peri-procedural patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong rhythm interpretation skills and telemetry monitoring
• Proven Cath Lab procedural knowledge and peri-procedural nursing care
• Ability to perform BLS/ACLS interventions and respond to emergent situations
• Familiarity with Prime competency and specialty exam processes
• Attention to detail for documentation, license verification, and regulatory compliance
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced procedural environment
