Shift Type: Night shift, 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM (night schedule; specific days of week to be confirmed with the facility)

Candidate Pay Rate: $64.60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Verify and accurately dispense medications to support safe patient care
- Review medication orders and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize therapy
- Perform medication reconciliation and ensure accurate documentation in the medical record
- Monitor drug utilization and participate in clinical interventions to improve outcomes
- Support inventory management and ensure properly labeled, stored, and accounted medications
- Provide patient education and counseling related to medications and treatments
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented pharmacy environment and mentor junior staff as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience (as listed in the posting)
- Active pharmacist licensure as required for practice in the assignment state (Texas) or eligibility to obtain it
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per facility requirements
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to medication safety
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams
Education
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacy degree preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of pharmacotherapy and medication safety principles
- Familiarity with hospital/inpatient pharmacy workflows and sterile/non-sterile compounding practices
- Experience with electronic health records and pharmacy information systems
- Ability to perform medication reconciliation and clinical interventions
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
