Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after scans
• Follow imaging protocols and adjust parameters to optimize results
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to support accurate diagnoses
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
• Perform routine equipment checks and report any technical issues promptly
• Adhere to MRI safety standards and infection control practices at all times

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience (as listed in the posting)
• Certified MRI technologist or equivalent credential; ARRT(MR) preferred
• Active state technologist licensure as required by Florida
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM evening shift and adapting to travel assignment needs
• Strong patient communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, MRI Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of MRI physics and cross-sectional anatomy
• Proficiency with MRI protocols, sequences, and image optimization
• Familiarity with PACS and radiology documentation workflows
• Strict adherence to MRI safety guidelines and screening procedures
• Excellent patient positioning and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a busy department
