Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic cardiovascular procedures with accuracy and compassion
- Prepare patients and maintain a safe, sterile environment for testing
- Operate and maintain cardiovascular equipment and ensure quality control
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the clinical team to support patient care
- Document findings clearly and communicate results to the care team in a timely way
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and maintain required competencies
Qualifications
- Current CVT certification or relevant credential (state-required certification as applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications encouraged
- 1+ years of clinical experience in cardiovascular diagnostics or a related setting preferred
- Current state licensure as required by the assignment
- Strong patient communication skills and a professional bedside manner
Education
- Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or related allied health field, or equivalent clinical experience
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in cardiovascular testing modalities and equipment operation
- Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and common diagnostic procedures
- Skilled in patient preparation, monitoring, and safety protocols
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and maintain quality control records
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment with multidisciplinary teams
- Good documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records
