Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults and seniors
- Assess patient status, monitor vital signs, and report changes to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
- Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain regulatory compliance
- Contribute to a positive workplace culture by mentoring colleagues and sharing best practices
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential — RN preferred
- Valid nursing license in Maryland (or compact license if applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications welcomed
- Comfortable with electronic health records and standard clinical documentation
- Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to patient-centered care
- Prior clinical experience in a long-term care or facility setting is a plus
Education
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or nursing diploma; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid nursing fundamentals and clinical assessment skills
- Medication administration and IV/SC/IM experience where applicable
- Familiarity with infection control practices and safety protocols
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to support patients and families
- Problem-solving mindset and a focus on continuous improvement
