Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care as a Licensed Practical Nurse on the unit
- Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility policy
- Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and responses to interventions
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Assist with care planning and ensure accurate electronic health record documentation
- Respond to patient needs and participate in safe, timely handoffs during shift changes
- Support infection control practices and maintain a safe clinical environment
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential or equivalent (eligible to practice in New Mexico)
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required or willingness to obtain
- Clinical experience as an LPN preferred; new graduates with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply
- Ability to work overnight shifts and collaborate with a diverse care team
- Current, unrestricted licensure and adherence to state nursing regulations
Education
- Graduation from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program (LPN/LVN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills
- Medication administration and documentation proficiency
- Comfortable with electronic health record charting
- Good communication and teamwork with nurses, providers, and support staff
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
