Roles & Responsibilities

• Set up operating rooms with all necessary equipment and instruments for scheduled surgeries
• Assist with patient positioning, surgical prepping, and draping prior to procedures
• Ensure all instrumentation is sterile and in working condition for a variety of surgical specialties
• Collaborate with surgeons and nursing staff during general, orthopedic, ENT, ophthalmic, OB/GYN, urology, and pediatric surgeries
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols throughout surgical procedures
• Participate in on-call rotations including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician training program (AST-approved) or equivalent on-the-job training or military experience
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST or TS-C) within 6 months of start, or current certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in OR setup, patient positioning, surgical prepping, and draping
• Proficiency with instrumentation for general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, OB/GYN, and urology
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection prevention
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment with a diverse patient population
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
