Location: Bay City, Michigan

Start Date: 07-27-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor patients using advanced telemetry equipment and track vital signs to ensure early detection of changes
Perform thorough assessments and implement life-saving interventions when needed
Administer complex medications, IV therapies, and titrate drips as ordered
Care for patients recovering from surgery, cardiac events, or those with complex conditions
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to create effective care plans
Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care and patient responses

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of RN Stepdown/Progressive Care experience required
Experience with telemetry monitoring is a must
Proficiency in Cerner EMR required
Active Michigan RN license (or compact license if eligible)
Ability to work every other weekend

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in patient monitoring and assessment
Strong medication management and IV therapy skills
Skilled in specialized care for cardiac and post-surgical patients
Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
Patient education and documentation proficiency
