Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide thorough dental cleanings and preventive care to patients
- Assess patients' oral health and report findings to the dentist
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and home care
- Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
- Maintain a clean and sterile clinical environment
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of New York
- Current CPR certification required
- Experience with dental software preferred but not required
- Strong communication and patient care skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program (Associate or Bachelor's degree)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in dental prophylaxis and scaling
- Knowledge of dental anatomy and pathology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with patients
