Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, including weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to neuro stepdown patients, monitoring neurological status and managing complex needs
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Educate patients and families on condition management and discharge planning
Document accurately in EPIC and maintain thorough patient records
Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of neuro stepdown or strong med/surg stepdown experience required
Active RN license in Georgia or compact state
NIHSS certification required - must be listed on CV
ACLS certification required
EPIC proficiency required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Compassionate patient-centered approach
