Candidate Pay Rate: $97.12 - $67.98 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care for patients of all ages
• Evaluate, treat, and reassess patients following physician orders
• Function independently while assisting physicians and nursing staff
• Participate in Code Team and Rapid Response Team
• Orient and train respiratory and nursing personnel
• Provide patient and family education on respiratory care
• Transport patients safely within the hospital
• Maintain equipment and stock inventory under the Director's guidance
• Participate in CQI initiatives and departmental education activities

Qualifications

• Must be NRP certified upon submission and hire
• MA license can be pending at time of submission but required
• Travel experience required
• Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program accredited by CAAHEP
• Previous RT experience strongly preferred
• Previous patient care experience preferred
• High school graduate or equivalent required

Education

• High school graduate or equivalent required
• Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy (RT) program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in respiratory equipment and modalities
• Excellent communication and education skills
