Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide advanced neurocritical care to patients in a dynamic ICU/Stepdown unit
• Monitor and manage complex neurologic conditions, including stroke, TBI, and post-surgical patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Float between ICU and Stepdown as needed, ensuring seamless patient transitions
• Utilize strong assessment skills to detect early changes in neurologic status
• Educate patients and families on neurologic conditions and recovery processes
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the highest standards of patient safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro ICU or Stepdown experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or compact state
• Strong neuro experience must be clearly reflected on your profile
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Willingness to float between ICU and Stepdown units

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in neurologic assessment and interventions
• Proficiency in critical care monitoring and equipment
• Ability to manage high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Adaptability to varying patient ratios (ICU 1:2, Stepdown 3:4)
