Shift Type: Day shift, 36 guaranteed hours/week, flexible 8, 10, or 16-hour shifts

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to a 28-bed PCU/IMCU with a cardiac population including STEMI, NSTEMI, and post-CABG patients
Manage cardiac drips such as Milrinone, Dobutamine, and pressors with a patient ratio of 1:3-4
Monitor telemetry and intervene for cardiac arrhythmias and changes in patient condition
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatments, and discharge planning

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent PCU experience in a hospital of similar size and acuity
Active BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA preferred)
Proven experience with cardiac drip management and telemetry monitoring
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac care including STEMI, NSTEMI, and congestive heart failure
Proficiency in cardiac drip titration and vasoactive medications
Telemetry interpretation and arrhythmia recognition
Advanced assessment and critical thinking skills
Compassionate patient-centered care approach
