Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide thorough dental cleanings and oral health assessments
- Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and overall oral care
- Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
- Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a clean treatment area
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygiene license in Virginia
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong attention to detail and patient-centered approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education
- Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in dental hygiene techniques and instrumentation
- Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
- Familiarity with dental software and patient management systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
