Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert care on a 32-bed unit serving adult and older adult populations with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
Manage trauma patients, administer heparin drips, and deliver all acute medications as ordered
Use specialty equipment such as gait belts, geriatric chairs, and PT equipment to ensure patient safety and comfort
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in the Surgical ACE unit at Grady Memorial Hospital
Document care accurately using EPIC EMR and support NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders) initiatives

Qualifications

Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
Must have documented med/tele experience
Experience with EPIC EMR is a must
Prior NICHE training is a plus
Compact or Georgia RN license required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing
Ability to manage acute medications and IV drips including heparin
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Comfortable working with older adult population and using specialized geriatric equipment
