Shift Type: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week guaranteed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized care for patients with neurological conditions in the ICU and stepdown units
Monitor and assess critical neurological status, including intracranial pressure and neurological checks
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring patient safety
Educate patients and families on condition and recovery process
Float between ICU and stepdown units as needed to support patient care

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in Neuro ICU or IMCU
Current RN license in Georgia or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong neuro assessment skills and experience
Ability to float between ICU and stepdown units
Grady Health System experience preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong neuro assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to handle critically ill patients with complex needs
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proficiency in electronic medical records
Adaptability to fast-paced and changing environments
