Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care including cleanings and patient education
- Assess patients' oral health and document findings accurately
- Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Collaborate with dentists and staff to ensure exceptional patient experience
- Maintain a clean and sterile clinical environment following infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in New York State
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Experience in a clinical dental setting preferred but new grads welcome
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures and instrumentation
- Knowledge of dental software and digital x-ray systems
- Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
- Excellent patient education and chairside manner
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
