Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care on a high-acuity surgery trauma unit
Manage a diverse patient population including surgical, gunshot, and spinal cord injury patients
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nursing support techs and phlebotomists
Perform thorough nurse handoffs with ED and admitting unit
Maintain a 5:1 patient ratio ensuring focused, quality care

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in trauma or surgical nursing
Active BLS certification required
ACLS certification preferred
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
Willingness to work flexible night shifts without block scheduling

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for high-acuity trauma patients
Experience with surgical wound care, monitoring, and emergency interventions
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
