Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, various shift lengths available (8, 10, 16 hours), schedule to be discussed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to orthopedic and trauma patients in a fast-paced surgical unit
Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and manage post-operative care
Collaborate with surgeons and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Assess and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed
Educate patients and families on recovery plans and discharge instructions
Maintain a safe and compassionate environment for healing

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in orthopedic/trauma surgical nursing in a similar size setting
Active RN license in Georgia or compact state (Nursys verification required)
BLS certification (AHA) required
Strong ortho/trauma surgical skills and ability to work in a high-acuity environment
No RTO (requested time off) during assignment

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in orthopedic and trauma surgical nursing
Proficiency in medical/surgical nursing and patient assessment
Wound care and pain management skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting
Strong communication and documentation skills
