Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult and older adult patients on a 32-bed Surgical ACE unit
• Manage trauma patients, administer heparin drips and all acute medications as ordered
• Maintain a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, ensuring attentive and safe care
• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate patient documentation and communication
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT, rehab, and skilled nursing specialists
• Use specialty equipment such as gait belts, geriatric chairs, and PT equipment to promote patient mobility and safety

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Georgia (or compact state eligible)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proven experience in medical/telemetry nursing - documented skills checklist
• EPIC EMR proficiency mandatory
• Prior NICHE training or experience in skilled nursing/rehab is a plus
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced trauma environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in acute care, telemetry monitoring, and medication administration
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for a diverse patient population
• Familiarity with geriatric care and fall prevention strategies
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Adaptability to floating within the unit as needed
