Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during patient exams and procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental X-rays and impressions
- Educate patients on orthodontic care and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
- Ensure a clean and organized clinical environment
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or license in Maryland
- Experience in orthodontic assisting is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing excellent patient care
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and procedures
- Proficiency in dental software and digital X-ray systems
- Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Patient-focused approach with a gentle touch
