Shift Type: Day shift, various 8-12 hour shifts, schedule determined by unit needs

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to high-acuity surgery trauma patients, including surgical cases, gunshot wounds, and spinal cord injuries
Monitor and manage patient conditions in a fast-paced trauma unit with a 5:1 patient ratio
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nursing support techs and unit secretaries
Perform thorough nurse handoffs with ED and admitting unit to ensure continuity of care
Utilize EPIC for accurate documentation and charting

Qualifications

Active RN license in Georgia or compact state
Minimum 2 years of experience in trauma or surgery nursing
BLS certification required
ACLS certification preferred
EPIC proficiency required
Must be willing to work flexible shifts, no block scheduling

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in trauma and surgical nursing
High-acuity patient management
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Proficient in EPIC and other healthcare systems
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
