Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 5x8 or 4x10 hour shifts, to be discussed in interview. Weekly weeknight call (1-2 nights/week) plus weekend call (every 3 weekends).

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert circulating and teching support during advanced endoscopic procedures including ERCP, EUS, EMR/ESD, enteroscopy, and endolumenal surgery
Operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment such as ultrasound processors, sphincterotomy wires, and electrocautery devices
Assist with fine needle aspiration (FNA) tools for tissue biopsies and set up injection needles/snares for polyp resection
Handle balloon catheters and endoscopic suturing devices for small bowel visualization and structural GI treatments
Perform high-level disinfection and reprocessing of complex scopes adhering to SGNA and manufacturer standards
Participate in on-call rotation to cover weeknight and weekend procedures

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of endoscopy nursing experience with strong circulating and teching skills
Proficiency in ERCP, EUS, EMR/ESD, enteroscopy, and endolumenal surgery
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation
Commitment to artificial nail policy (no artificial nails in patient care areas)

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced endoscopic procedures: ERCP, EUS, EMR/ESD, enteroscopy, endolumenal surgery
Endoscopic reprocessing and high-level disinfection per SGNA standards
Circulating and teching in a fast-paced GI lab
Troubleshooting endoscopic equipment and imaging systems
Team collaboration and effective communication in procedural settings
Understanding of infection control and patient safety protocols
