Location: College Station, Texas

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, days and nights available (starting at 6:45 AM/PM), mid-shifts also available; every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate emergency care to a diverse patient population
Manage trauma codes, STEMIs, strokes, and pediatric emergencies
Administer common emergency drips including pressors and sedation
Interpret telemetry strips and cardiac rhythms independently
Collaborate with MDs, mid-levels, and support staff in a fast-paced environment
Care for holds and assist with floating when needed

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia test (83%) within 3 attempts
First-time travelers welcome to apply
Willingness to work every other weekend and holidays as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in reading and interpreting cardiac rhythms
Experience with ventilators, BiPap, and high-flow oxygen
Ability to work in a Level III Trauma Center with STEMI and Stroke Receiving designation
Team collaboration and adaptability in a matrix scheduling environment
