Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights; 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM; every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU
Titrate vasopressors, paralytics, sedatives, and antiarrhythmics as needed
Interpret telemetry and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including residents, fellows, and attendings
Operate advanced equipment such as CRRT, Impella, Zoll Thermoguard, and ventilators
Maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1-2 in ICU
Participate in rapid response and code situations, supporting the charge nurse as needed

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or a compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Ability to interpret telemetry and titrate critical drips
Valid driver's license for radius verification
Willingness to float to all inpatient units except Maternity/NICU

Knowledge & Skills

Critical thinking and quick decision-making in high-stress situations
Experience with vasopressors, paralytics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
Telemetry interpretation and rhythm recognition
Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
Comfort caring for neuro, cardiac, and surgical ICU patients
