Location: Henderson, NV

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, day/night rotation (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend, holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and high-risk obstetrical patients
Perform vaginal exams, internal monitor placement, and fetal monitoring
Circulate and recover C-section patients in the OR
Titrate intravenous drips including Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Insulin, and Heparin
Provide antepartum and postpartum care, including couplet care for mother-baby
Float to mother-baby unit as needed to support the team

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nevada or valid compact license
At least 1 year of recent L&D experience
BLS, ACLS, AFM, and NRP certifications required
Comfortable with high-risk obstetrics and independent decision-making
Ability to effectively read fetal monitor strips (Cerner EFM system)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in vaginal exams and high-risk labor management
Skilled in internal monitor placement and fetal monitoring interpretation
Experience titrating drips (Magnesium, Pitocin, Heparin, Insulin)
Knowledge of AWHONN staffing guidelines and patient ratios
Ability to circulate and recover C-sections independently
