Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology (IR)

Location: Bismarck, ND

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Various shifts available including 8-hour (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) and 10-hour (6:00 AM - 4:30 PM) shifts, weekdays with on-call rotation 1-2 nights per week and every third weekend.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide conscious sedation and monitor patients closely during interventional radiology procedures
Manage pre- and post-procedure care, including charting and patient education
Circulate during IR procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment
Collaborate with interventional radiologists and the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care
Respond to emergent cases including stroke thrombectomy and embolizations

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or critical care with moderate sedation
Experience with EPIC and Philips Xper systems preferred
Willingness to take call and work weekends on a rotating basis

Knowledge & Skills

Conscious sedation management
Pre- and post-procedure care
EPIC and Philips Xper proficiency
Team collaboration and autonomy
Critical thinking and quick response in emergent situations
