Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, includes weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional care for high-acuity cardiac surgery recovery patients, including those on IABP, CRRT, Ecmo, and post-op from lung transplant, esophagectomy, and TAVR
Perform and assist with bedside procedures such as bronchs, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, and epidurals
Master Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes while maintaining strict sterile field
Monitor telemetry using Philips system and manage dysrhythmias
Collaborate with intensivists, RT, and pharmacy in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center
Float to other ICUs and telemetry units as needed to support the team

Qualifications

Active RN license (compact or AZ) required
Must have Level I Trauma Center experience
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience; CVICU experience strongly preferred
BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN certification highly valued
Pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start
Comfortable with high patient acuity and 1:1 to 1:2 ratios
Own vehicle required for travel between campuses

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac surgery recovery, IABP, CRRT, and Ecmo management
Proficient in Foley catheter insertion, central line dressing changes, and sterile field maintenance
Strong IV skills and experience with Cerner EMR
Telemetry interpretation and Philips monitor experience
Ability to work collaboratively in a high-stress environment
