Location: Carmichael, CA

Start Date: 07-07-2026

End Date: 10-06-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (variable), with every other weekend rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $82 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive initial assessments and ongoing care coordination for a diverse patient population
Utilize Interqual criteria for utilization review and discharge planning
Collaborate with hospital staff, patients, and families to ensure smooth transitions of care
Manage a caseload of 15-20 patients per day, prioritizing effectively throughout the shift
Document all activities in Cerner and communicate with payers, including uninsured and homeless patients

Qualifications

Current CA RN license required
Prior recent experience at a Dignity Health or CommonSpirit facility in California is a must
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of case management or utilization review experience preferred
Proficiency with Interqual and Cerner systems preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities
Effective communication skills across interdisciplinary teams
Ability to reprioritize tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of all payer types, including uninsured and homeless patient populations
