Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) - Per Diem
Location: Waldorf, MD
Start Date: 07-10-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: As needed, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to elderly residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort
- Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff
- Support residents with meals and hydration, promoting dignity and independence
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents
Qualifications
- Active Maryland GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption required
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
- Basic understanding of infection control practices
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift as needed
