Shift Type: Varied days (per diem), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift)

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents with dignity and respect
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
- Help maintain a clean, comfortable environment and assist with meal service as needed
- Document care and communicate effectively with the care team and families
Qualifications
- Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) or equivalent state certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working with older adults and familiar with dementia-friendly approaches
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to follow care plans and facility protocols
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved GNA program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic clinical skills: vital sign measurement, safe transfer techniques, catheter and wound observation
- Knowledge of infection control and resident safety practices
- Ability to recognize and report changes in resident condition
- Familiarity with documenting care in electronic or paper charting systems
- Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
