Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents during overnight shifts
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the clinical team in a timely manner
• Perform focused assessments and intervene to maintain resident safety and comfort
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to coordinate resident care
• Maintain clear, professional documentation in the facility electronic health record
• Support resident activities of daily living and promote dignity and independence

Qualifications

• Valid LPN or RN license appropriate for practice in Maine (travel licensure assistance available)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Active healthcare immunizations and ability to pass required background checks
• Comfort with overnight nursing responsibilities and working independently
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program
• Completion of program consistent with licensure requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and monitoring skills for medically complex residents
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with long-term care workflows and resident-centered care
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively during overnight shifts
• Clear, professional communication with residents, families, and care teams
