Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
Monitor, assess, and document resident condition and vital signs
Perform skilled nursing tasks such as wound care and catheter care as needed
Collaborate with nurses, CNAs, and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
Support residents with activities of daily living and promote dignity
Complete accurate documentation, handoffs, and care plans to ensure continuity
Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection-control protocols

Qualifications

Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (Maine) required
BLS/CPR certification required or obtain upon hire
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively on overnight shifts
Strong communication skills with residents, families, and care team

Education

Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN diploma/certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

Medication administration and accurate charting
Basic wound care and infection control practices
Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation
Resident assessment and care planning
Teamwork, problem solving, and calm decision-making during night hours
Compassionate approach to resident-centered care
