Location: Pembroke, North Carolina

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; 4 nights one week / 3 nights the next (every other week). Night shift

Candidate Pay Rate: $41 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during 12-hour night shifts
Perform thorough head-to-toe assessments and communicate clinical changes promptly
Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
Maintain clear, timely electronic medical record documentation
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care
Respond to urgent situations and escalate concerns to providers as needed

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts with an alternating 4/3 schedule
Clinical experience in acute care or a relevant nursing area preferred
Strong communication, prioritization, and teamwork skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Medication administration and IV therapy competency
Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
Ability to triage, prioritize, and respond effectively during busy night shifts
Team-focused approach and clear verbal/written communication
