Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care during 12-hour day shifts to promote positive outcomes
• Perform thorough assessments, document findings clearly, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with facility protocols
• Advocate for patients and families while educating them about care plans and follow-up
• Collaborate with unit leadership to ensure smooth shift handoffs and continuity of care
• Maintain accurate electronic charting and timely reporting of changes in patient status
• Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive unit culture

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license (North Carolina license or compact/reciprocal where applicable)
• Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred where applicable
• Travel nursing experience or previous acute care experience is highly valued
• Ability to work alternating 12-hour shift schedule (4 shifts one week / 3 shifts the next)
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background checks and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment skills and clinical judgment in acute care settings
• Medication administration, IV therapy and basic procedures
• Proficient documentation in electronic medical record systems
• Time management and the ability to triage effectively during busy shifts
• Team collaboration, patient advocacy and strong interpersonal skills
• Adaptability to new units and ability to integrate quickly into established teams
