Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients in the Seaford center
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings in the medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to develop and follow care plans
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and follow-up instructions
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges while maintaining patient dignity
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies with calm professionalism

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Delaware or authorization to practice in DE
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
• Comfortable with medication administration, charting, and basic wound care
• Professional, patient-focused attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is preferred but not required

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
• Medication administration and documentation
• Wound care basics and infection control practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Strong communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
