Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy safely and accurately, following ONS standards
• Provide specialized care for Bone Marrow Transplant and hematology patients
• Perform blood administration and cardiac monitoring for complex oncology patients
• Document care clearly and promptly in Meditech EMR to support continuity and safety
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists and the interdisciplinary team to create and execute care plans
• Educate patients and families about treatments, side effect management and discharge needs
• Maintain a compassionate bedside presence while practicing critical thinking in high-acuity situations
• Adhere to unit policies and safety protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas or multi-state compact license
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (recent oncology or BMT experience strongly preferred)
• Hands-on experience with chemo/biotherapy administration and Bone Marrow Transplant care
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification required
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Comfort with telemetry monitoring and blood administration
• Strong communication, attention to detail and ability to work in a 4:1 patient ratio
