Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient status overnight, responding quickly to changes
• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care and administer medications as ordered
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the chart
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members during handoffs and emergent events
• Support patient and family education with compassion and clear communication
• Escalate concerns and coordinate timely care transitions to ensure continuity

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (California license or eligible to practice in CA preferred)
• Per diem availability for the scheduled night shift (April 2–3, 2026) and flexibility for similar short assignments
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) a plus
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work independently overnight
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in clinical assessment and documentation
• Medication administration and IV care skills
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and accurate charting
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced overnight setting
• Strong teamwork and handoff/communication skills
