Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to patients, ensuring comfort and dignity throughout the shift.
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition promptly to the nursing team.
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support.
- Perform safe transfers and positioning to prevent injury and promote recovery.
- Document care accurately and communicate clearly during handoffs to maintain continuity.
- Support a positive patient experience by being attentive, kind, and professional.
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification in California (required).
- Current state-required immunizations and health screenings as applicable.
- Prior CNA experience in acute care or long-term care preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on overnight shifts.
- Willingness to submit to background checks and required facility onboarding.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited CNA program.
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care procedures and infection control best practices.
- Ability to take vital signs, assist with ADLs, and recognize changes in patient status.
- Familiarity with electronic documentation or the ability to learn common charting systems.
- Good teamwork skills and a calm, patient-centered approach during busy shifts.
