Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and compassion
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe patient mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and observations
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Keep patient rooms and equipment clean and stocked to promote a safe environment

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (California) or eligible to obtain state certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Proof of required immunizations and TB screening as per facility policy
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and adapting to per-diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude
• Previous CNA experience is a plus but new grads who meet certification requirements are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety principles
• Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Ability to assist with mobility, transfers, and safe patient handling
• Basic documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus
• Teamwork, time management, and the ability to prioritize patient needs
