Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) with attention to diagnostic accuracy
• Conduct exercise and dobutamine stress echo exams as well as contrast (Optison/Definity) and bubble studies
• Operate and troubleshoot ultrasound systems including Philips CX50, Siemens ACUSON SC2000, Siemens Origin and Philips EPIC
• Provide compassionate patient care across inpatient, outpatient, ER and cath lab environments
• Accurately document procedures and findings in EMR systems (Athena, Meditech, PICOM) and communicate results to the clinical team
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage and respond promptly to urgent imaging needs

Qualifications

• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or equivalent credential required (CVCCI or ARDMS credential requested with submission)
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Demonstrated experience with TTE, TEE, stress echo (exercise and dobutamine), contrast and bubble studies
• Comfort with pediatric TTE is preferred
• Familiarity with Philips CX50, Siemens ACUSON SC2000, Philips EPIC or similar systems preferred
• Proof of current flu vaccination is required (no declinations accepted)
• Strong communication skills, team-oriented mindset, and openness to feedback

Education

• RDCS or ARDMS credential; completion of an accredited cardiac sonography program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• TTE, TEE, Stress Echo (exercise & dobutamine)
• Contrast imaging (Optison/Definity) and bubble studies
• Experience with Philips CX50, Siemens ACUSON SC2000, Siemens Origin and Philips EPIC
• EMR proficiency: Athena, Meditech, PICOM
• Pediatric TTE knowledge (preferred)
• BLS and RDCS technical competency and patient-focused care
