Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify and approve medications to ensure safe, accurate dosing for inpatients
• Compound and oversee sterile IV preparations using DoseEdge verification
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians; oversee Pyxis checks and first-dose processes
• Perform therapeutic dosing and monitoring for vancomycin, aminoglycosides, and anticoagulants
• Respond to emergency medication needs and manage emergency med boxes
• Document interventions and medication administration in the Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with nursing and medical teams on pain consults and medication-related decisions
• Maintain departmental standards and adhere to unit policies to promote patient safety

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School (required)
• Licensed to practice Pharmacy in Missouri (MO) — required prior to start
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience (per job profile)
• Experience compounding sterile IVs and using DoseEdge for verification
• Familiarity with Pyxis and Pak Edge automated systems and Meditech EMR
• Comfort supervising technicians and managing medication distribution workflows
• ACLS and BLS preferred; NICU experience a plus
