Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Titrate drips safely and adjust therapies based on hemodynamic assessment
• Manage ventilators and provide advanced respiratory care including BIPAP and tracheostomy care
• Perform and assist with critical procedures such as central line management and chest tube care
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech EMR and communicate handoffs clearly
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality critical care
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and their families during high stress moments
• Maintain unit safety and follow established ICU policies and protocols

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Minimum 1 year of ICU or critical care nursing experience as indicated in the posting
• Proven experience with cardiac monitoring, interpreting rhythms and titratable drips
• Experience managing respiratory patients including ventilator, BIPAP, tracheostomy and high flow oxygen devices
• Comfortable with hemodynamic assessment and complex critical care interventions
• Experience with Meditech EMR and common ICU equipment is highly desirable
• Experience with CRRT and SLED is preferred

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Titration of vasoactive drips and hemodynamic assessment
• Ventilator management and respiratory support including BIPAP and Airvo high flow oxygen
• Tracheostomy care and assistance with intubation and bronchoscopy
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR, Alaris IV pumps, GE bedside monitors and Pyxis
• Experience with CRRT devices such as Prismax and Tablo SLED
